RECIPE: Banana, Strawberry, & Chocolate Hazelnut Stuffed French Toast

When regular French toast gets blasé, give this recipe a try! It mixes chocolate hazelnut spread with strawberry and banana, complemented by the traditional cinnamon flavor of regular French Toast. Pick up a Red Copper Flipwich for easy, mess-free cooking. Our video shows the French toast topped with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey, but you can substitute your own choices or omit it completely. The written recipe is below the video.



  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 C. milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 strawberry, sliced
  • 1/4 banana, sliced
  • Approximately 2 Tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2 slices of bread, standard loaf size, your choice of flavor
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • Honey (optional)
  1. Combine eggs, milk, salt, and cinnamon in a wide bowl.
  2. Whisk until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Place 2 slices of bread on a plate.
  4. Spread a thin layer of chocolate hazelnut spread on one side of each slice.
  5. Add strawberry and banana slices on top of spread on one slice.
  6. Place remaining slice of bread on top of the slice with fruit, so chocolate hazelnut spread is facing down.
  7. Pick up the entire sandwich and dip into egg mix, saturating each side of the bread.
  8. Place sandwich in Flipwich. Lock the handle.
  9. Cook for 2 minutes on each side over medium heat.
  10. Remove from Flipwich. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and honey, if desired.
